At the end of last year, we organised a crowdfunding project for the cashew farmers of the Fairtrade Alliance Kerala (FTAK). The reason for this was last summer's devastating monsoon rains, which caused enormous damage to homes, farms and infrastructure, particularly in Kerala. Thanks to the support of numerous donors, we were able to send over CHF 31,000 to Kerala for reconstruction in January. In the meantime, the most urgent measures, such as the repair of water pipes and agricultural land, as well as the financing of new seeds, have been implemented.
